February has been a fun month! Aunt Christy was down to visit and we had a great time with her. Margaret and she bonded almost immediately, and we still ask where Aunt Christy went - it's tough to explain to a 2 year old the concept of distance. We look at pictures of her and that seems to be almost as good (a distant second anyway).
Jack has started smiling all the time - he is developing his own little personality and he and Margaret have conversations together and leave Jim and me out! He thinks his big sister is absolutely hysterical, and nothing can make Margaret light up like seeing her brother each morning! "Look, mommy...BABY JACK!!!" It's enough to remind us (sleep deprived as we are) that we are truly blessed and that these kids are amazing little creatures!
Margaret has moved (sort of) into her big girl bed. She still isn't a fan of sleeping in general, but last night she chose her big girl bed over her crib so we are making progress! Jack started school today, and seems to be doing well (I've only called once to check on him so far...so mom's doing OK too).
Other than that, we are just trying to make it through the nights and keep our sanity with a serious lack of sleep, but we are keeping the faith that it will get better soon!!! I go back to work next week, so that will be another adjustment, but just seeing the smiling faces every morning and each night before bed is enough to make it easy! Enjoy the photos below...

The New Year
We have officially kicked off 2006! Below are some pictures of the kids to show how much they grow in such a short time! Margaret is getting more and more mature by the day - she's talking up a storm, and the other day had a 20 minute conversation with Jim explaining her entire day, complete with gestures and hand motions -- and while he had no idea what she actually said, it was still very entertaining!
Jack is getting bigger by the day - he's holding his head up better and better and smiling more and more (thanks to Grandaddy for smile lessons)...
So, enjoy the photos - and here's to a healthy and prosperous 2006!
