Hi Everyone!
Sorry I have been so remiss in posting lately - we have been busy...No excuse, I know. So far this summer we have enjoyed the pool - both at the Country Club and in our backyard (see pictures below). Also, we all went to New Orleans for Memorial Day, which was great fun! Jim and I were able to sneak away for a few days to Vegas thanks to the very kind generosity of MeeMaw and PopPop - I think they all had a great time together though...Not sure the kids wanted us to come back!
We still have our family reunion coming up in New Smyrna Beach, FL in July, and then we are hoping to get to Washington, DC sometime in the fall. In the midst of all that traveling, I have been out of town for various work meetings, and we are very grateful to "Aunt" Jenny for filling in on those nights and helping out - getting two kids fed, bathed and in bed can be more of a challenge than one person should have to deal with!
Jack is getting bigger and bigger - he's definitely going to be my football player - big news though, he is now eating puffs, so we have taken the first step into "real person" food!!! Margaret is Margaret - she is my little miss personality - but WOW...is she two!!
Just last week, Aunt Christy was here to visit and the kids really loved having her around. When Margaret came home after school Tuesday night and she wasn't there, I explained that Aunt Christy had to go home and she looked at me and very matter of factly asked "why, mommy?" I tried to explain it, but it wasn't completely successful...At least Aunt Christy now knows how very much she is loved!
Grandma Beverly is coming to visit in a few weeks and we are very excited for that - we are hoping that Granddaddy will make an appearance too, and if Uncle Tom wanted to come hang out with his niece and nephew, we'd be happy to have him too!!
Otherwise, we are just trying to make it through the days, and keep our sanity - the kids keep growing and we keep wondering how time moves so quickly! I hope this post finds you all well.
