Easter Weeeknd 2006
Easter Weekend 2006 was great fun! MeeMaw and PopPop came to visit with us, and spend the weekend enjoying family togetherness! We went to Stonebriar CC on Saturday for an "Egg-stravaganza" which included yet another petting zoo (Meg wasn't very impressed, but they did have some fantastic baby animals - including a PIGLET!), a train that gave the kids rides around the parking lot, cotton candy (we steered clear of that), an egg scavenger hunt (which resulted in Meg having about 15 Easter Eggs all containing jelly beans), and an outside BBQ (but due to the crazy weather, it felt more like the 4th of the July than Easter Saturday).
Uncle Andrew and Aunt Elle came and joined us for the festivities, and Meg enjoyed having yet more people to pay attention to her - she has found that she loves anyone as long as they are willing to make her the center of attention (I have NO idea where she got that trait)!!
Easter Sunday, Meg opened her basket which included all kinds of fun stuff - a Dora playset, sparkly necklaces, crayons, bubbles, and coloring books. We gave it to her at Sunday Brunch as an attempt to get a complete 15 minutes to actually enjoy the food (it didn't really work). She picked at her breakfast - we learned that even waffles taste good with ketchup (YUCK!) and we headed home to enjoy the last few hours with MeeMaw and PopPop...
Meg has become much more intuitive, as she realized pretty quickly that MeeMaw and PopPop weren't there anymore (although it did require several trips upstairs to their bedroom before she really believed it!)

The Petting Zoo Comes to Carpe Diem
Margaret's school had a petting zoo come to their school in early April. Jim was able to go see Meg have great fun with the animals. She really loved seeing them, and learned about goats, llamas, and "hoppies" (bunnies). More than the actual petting zoo experience, Margaret has learned that she absolutely LOVES watching the video that Jim took of her enjoying her time! She asks for "animals movie" at least once a night - and sometimes it is literally the first thing she says to us when she gets up in the morning - before "good morning" and "milk!" Jack's class wasn't able to go to the petting zoo, but I'm sure he feels like he has been there since he watches the movie until we are all able to recite the whole 15 minutes!! I have included a few pictures for your enjoyment!
